Liberty Mutual Canada appoints Frederick Ling as Head of Specialty

TORONTO (April 22, 2025) – Liberty Mutual Insurance today announced the appointment of Frederick Ling as Head of Specialty, Liberty Mutual Canada. Reporting to Liberty Mutual Canada President Rob Marsh, Frederick will lead the Specialty Insurance team to further capitalize on Liberty Mutual’s unique strengths as a specialty insurer. Frederick will be accountable for the financial and operational performance of Liberty Mutual Canada’s specialty products, including financial and professional services, cyber and technology, marine, mergers and acquisitions, and environmental.

Bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Ling has a range of knowledge within specialty lines teams and products, with experience spanning across Canada, US, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration, CIP designation, and a joint MBA from Northwestern University and York University.
